One other suggestion! YOu may want to build a "bird mask" using the select color tool. and then apply that above the NI'd image.
This will some of the noise in the bird but will add detail in the bird. The select color range tool will give a semi transparent selection so it will kind of give you the best of both worlds than a straight select tool.
Also you could use Q and do a qick mask then use a semi transparent brush to select the bird to do the same things as color range select.

Today, I spoke to a USCI Agent and his supervisor at NSC about my case..
I quizzed them about July 2007 revised visa bulletin etc.
He looked around, checked it for like 10 minutes and said HE DOESN'T HAVE
ANY MEMO. All he said that he has this MEMO which states that July 2007 (original) bulletin ..based on that EB1-3 for all countries are current.
:-) May be NSC approves application :-) as practically NO ONE can stop them..
Again this is based on my call to actual live human being at NSC..

My lawyer is saying you need a valid reason to apply. My wife wants to visit India when i asked he said you cannot apply AP for visiting purpose, you need a valid reason to apply and a letter or wedding invitation to apply.

well they tried it did'nt happen because of Republican controled house, we now have Democratic controled house who favor more towards CIR, I think Bush working with Republican senators to get approval for his bill
atleast this is the only issue where president and democrats come close to agreeing on,
Question, does Democrats puts politics ahead by not giving credit to Bush for resolving immigration is the real issue
I do see more chances this year ofcourse this will be do or die situation for many immigration hopefuls

I have little different problem here, I got my approval in 7 cal days so which is good and now I have start working with new employer so all good..
Now new employer wants me travel to Europe for some official work for 1 week and since my passport stamp is on my old employer and approval notice is new employer so do you guys think it would be an issue?
please let me know what all document etc I should carry during re entry?

You can use follow to join to allow your wife to get an EAD after she finishes her waiver (If you have a GC by then and your PD is current). I am not sure if she can immediately file after her waiver. Any gurus please reply. Signing another contract in a waiver location is painful (after initial contract pf 3 yrs is over). Also if anybody can reply on how much time we can stay legally after the initial 3 years.
As far as issues, its a lenghty and a painful journey to a waiver job and clearance. Needs a lot of work. But once you r thru with getting a H-1b to start the job should be no issues.
Let me know if you need anything. Mine is EB3 PD-04/2002 India and still waiting.

The question is: is a copy of I140 is that important to use AC21 . From the posts on IV forums I got the impression is you dont even need a copy of I140. The important thing is to apply for change of attorneys immediately after changing the job. If you get any RFE - you will get on the employment verification - then you need to show you have a job that is same/similar as the one in labor certification. If you know the job description (generally most employers attorneys share this info to make sure that you have relevant experience) then make sure your new job is same or atleast mostly similar.
In your two options you mentioned using EAD for one job and H1b for another. I read somewhere that this cannot be done (I dont have the link but I think this is from Murthy chat). Once you use EAD your satus will change to 485 waiter with EAD - seems like you can change back to H1b - but having two statuses at the same time is not possible. This is my understanding based on forum reading (not a lawyer).

I have used a similar copy myself when meeting the staff of Congressman Michael Fitzpatric, with great results. However we were told that we were waiting for the lobby firms to give us their input. My guess was, if they are going to provide some really good insight, then we might as well wait a little and add that b4 meeting the Congressmen/Senators.
If you guys are decided on the presentation, then i can go ahead and book the appointment.

Platinum amex, for first 2 years of membership, gives me 3 thankyou points per $ spent (5 for bonus categories of gas, supermarket and drugstore). Premierpass I think is 1 and 3 (not sure).
I think there is an annual limit per year - never needed to worry about it.
You should be able to find the details at citibank.com.
I personally use Platinum amex as my primary card and premierpass elite as the secondary for places where American Express is not accepted. I've already got > $1400 in GCs and other stuff from thankyou network between myself and my wife. This $1400 includes the $500 from airline bonus points for my india trip.

My check was cashed on 08/31. Based on the receipt numbers on the back of the check, online status shows that receipts were mailed on 08/31, but I haven't received till date. On 10/01, I called customer service and made them create service request. No progress so far. I am planning to call sometime next week and find the status of the service request.
Is anyone in the similar situation of not receiving the receipts even after check has cashed way back.

Consular processing itself will happen when date is currentl. However, there is a form that your friend can fill out (which basically moves I 140 from USCIS to another agency which I think is called National visa/benefit center, which in turn sends it to consular post once the date is current.
In other words, your friend will have to get out of 485 line and ask for I 140 to be put in another line (for consular processing) and wait for PD to become current.
During this entire time, the prospective employer should have empty position for the candidate and good faith intention to hire him permanently once he gets is GC. Also, they may send RFE to employer to explain how will he manage for next several years before your friend can join the firm. As long as prospective employer answers all these to their satisfaction, your friend can still get his GC once his PD becomes current (via consular processing).

Iam trying to explain my employer that it's ok to hire employees with EAD. For some reason they prefer GC or Citizen only. I referred them to the Discrimination clause on I-9 form. Then they told me about their problems hiring EAD.
1) If the Employee is hired on a valid EAD and later during the course of employment the EAD expired, there is no system in place for them to check back with the employee if (s)he has renewed it in a timely manner.
2) If such an employee that has not renewed their EAD and continued their employment beyond expiration without notifying the employer, the company is worried that they may be legally liable for harboring employees with illegal statuses.
Please help me understand if their concerns are valid and if not what is the remedy.

Was she working in IT field back in India? Can you specify her skill sets? Was it easy for her to find a sponsoring company ?
